I offer classes on a "BY REQUEST"
basis. A list of all classes are posted here as well as @ Sparkles Bead Shop in Newark on
the class board. Please feel free to contact me @
fitzudesigns@verizon.net with questions or to set up a day and time for
any class you are interested in.
If you get a chance stop in @ Sparkles. They have a great selection (the best I have seen) of crystals and lots of other goodies. You will find handmade ready to wear jewelry for any occasion. It is a cozy little place with lots to look at.
Fee for all classes posted is $35 and each class is 2 hours long unless otherwise specified.

If you are interested in learning a specific technique that is not listed as a class please contact me and we will discuss customizing a class for you. Fee for a custom class is $45 for 2 hrs.

Level description:
Beginner – Have little or no experience, just starting out.
Beginner Intermediate – Have some experience and have mastered simple wire techniques.
Intermediate – Experienced with heavier gauge wire and have mastered spirals, coils, Z bends/U bends, etc.
Advanced – Have mastered all basic wire techniques and want to learn new more complex methods.

Bangle bracelets are fun to wear and with your personal added touches this will be a real eye catcher. Techniques include spirals, squiggles, simple loop, coils, free form wire wrapping & filing. You will also learn how to use a hammer & bench block.
Artsy Bangle II
Level : Intermediate ~ Experience with wire is helpful.
Bangle bracelets are fun to wear and with your personal added touches this will be a real eye catcher. Techniques include wire twisting with a drill, tornado bead, coils, basic wire loops, filing and use of a hammer & bench block.
Button Up (Wire Crochet)
Level: Beginner
Using a basic chain stitch you will learn how to create a charming multi-strand necklace filled with buttons, new, old or both. This is easy and fun. You will also learn a basic wrapped loop to finish off to give your creations a professional look..

Do you have a beautiful stone or shell that you just don’t know what to do with? This class will teach you, using wire, to create a unique encasement to show off your gem.
Copper Pennies
Level:
Beginner/Intermediate ~ Experience with wire is helpful.
Copper is
the new silver. Lots of movement on this
fun to wear bracelet. Make it your own
with texture, memorable charms, bead accents or found objects.
Hammering,
texturing, coiling & dapping are a few of the techniques you will learn in
this class. Bring your imagination!

Wire work is an amazing art form that will enhance any project you incorporate
it into. This class will teach you basic techniques using heavy gauge wire and
adding beads to create a unique bracelet including a clasp.
Doughnuts.. and Coffee??
Level: Beginner
Doughnut stones always get
you wondering – what do I do with this?
Well…they look great with simple wore wrapping.
Learn to wire wrap &
create a bail all at the same time. I
will also discuss other ways to embellish these great stones.
In A Cage ~ NEW
Beginner/Intermediate
Cage Beads are versatile elements and add a bit
of whimsy to bracelets & necklaces.
You will learn two different sizes to accommodate this unique NO clasp
bracelet. Be creative in the beads you select to give it
your own special touch.
It’s A Wrap
Level: Beginner
If you love rings then you
will love this class. Learn to create
your own rings and get a perfect fit.
Basic wire wrapping techniques will be taught.
Knotted
Beginner/Intermediate
This ring is not for the
meek, it is big and bold. Really makes a
statement. You will learn simple
wrapping techniques using heavy gauge wire to create this eye catching bauble.
Nesting
Level: Beginner
Intermediate
Wrapping wire in a
free form manner, create nest like links and add beads to give color to this
great bracelet. Techniques in this class
include wrapped loops, easy links, hammering & a hook clasp. Familiarity with wire is recommended. NOTE:
This can also be made into a necklace just by adding more links and beads.
Sassy Spiral ~ NEW
Beginner/Intermediate
This
is such a fun bracelet to make and can have so many different looks depending
on your bead choice. It feels so good
on your wrist that it will be your grab it everyday bracelet.
Scrolling Along
Level:
Intermediate
This
unique style offers several techniques including hammering, texturing, spirals,
wire wrapping and opening & closing jump rings. Looks great in copper and this is a little
less expensive than sterling silver.
Simple Spiral Ring
Level: Beginner NOTE: This class is only 1.5hrs long.
This simple spiral ring is so easy you won't believe it. You will learn to size on a ring mandrel, wrap & spiral wire technique. Different embellishment options will also be discussed.
Waves ~ Wire Ring
Beginner /Intermediate
This unique ring in heavy
gauge wire is actually very simple to make.
It incorporates simple wire skills such as spirals, wire wrapping &
“U” bends using basic jewelry tools.
Beautiful in both copper or silver.
Wrap & Link Bracelet
Level:
BeginnerThis bracelet is easy to make but looks complicated. It flows nicely on your wrist. You will learn the simple art of wrapped loops and how to link them all together as well as a hook clasp. You can also use this technique to create a necklace.
